We are a friendly, supportive group for people in the Bury St Edmunds area and nearby towns and villages who are experiencing difficulties with mental health. Many of us have been in-patients at Wedgwood House, the specialist mental unit at the West Suffolk Hospital, at some time or other. It's all too easy to feel isolated and alone if you have a mental health condition and that family and friends, no matter how kind or loving, don't understand how you feel. If this is you, come and join us for a chat over a cuppa. In addition to our regular weekly meeting, we also organise occasional social outings, including a Christmas meal and a trip to Felixstowe, and have informal meet-ups over coffee on other days of the week.
IMPORTANT: TEMPORARY CHANGE OF MEETING PLACE DUE TO COVID-19
Before Covid-19 struck, we held our weekly meet-ups in Edmundo Lounge. As government regulations currently permit a maximum of two households to socialise indoors, for the time being we are meeting in Abbey Gardens, weather permitting. If you are attending for the first time, please contact us beforehand.
