The Shed - Community Garden

Community Garden  with grade 2 listed stable block

For anyone who wants to get involved in rural gardening or DIY, a chance to socialise with others, make new friends, be part of this lovely opportunity or just come and enjoy the outdoors environment.

Transport is essential although we are on a very limited bus route

We have recently installed a Bore Hole and expect to connect to mains electricity very soon

Our driveway and car park area have recently been resurfaced and we our next project is to install toilet facilities suitable for all.

We have greenhouses to erect and new compost areas to build

We have created many 'rooms' so there should be something for most people to enjoy

The story so far Rated 5 out of 5
The Shed has now been running for 2 years and goes from strength to strength. The Stables have been reroofed, new guttering, new doors and damaged feather boarding replaced. We have a Kitchen Garden and a base for our greenhouses which will be put up this year We await permission to install Solar Panels and a Car Park The old hedge along Jarman's Road has been stripped out in readiness for brand new saplings New trees will be planted to form a copse The fruit trees and Christmas trees are all doing well We have a working rotovator but the pump on the large strimmer needs attention The Community Crew attend at least once per month and are able to do any heavy work, ie digging roots and moving heavy slabs We welcome visitors to join us with tea/coffee at 11am
