Cats Protection Ipswich Branch

Welcome to Ipswich Cats Protection - a branch run entirely by volunteers.

Areas covered: Ipswich branch covers the post code areas IP1 to IP11.

Fund raising: We fund raise regularly, both to raise much needed funds for the cats and to raise the profile of the branch. We run a Christmas fete in Nov/Dec, charity nights and car boot sales. And we could do so much more with more volunteers!

Co-op Community Token Scheme: We have just heard that we are to be one of the chosen charities in the Co-op Community Token scheme at the listed stores they will be collecting tokens for us and our cause from Monday 18th March at the following stores for 3 months

  • Heath Road
  • Rushmere
  • Cauldwell Hall Road
  • Foxhall Road
  • Colchester Road
  • Brunswick Road

You can even donate your dividend points by presenting your card and the quoting our share number which is 234701.

Please do visit and pop your token into our box every time you shop and spread the word. Thank you for your support, and thank you to the Co-op

Charity Shop:
We have our own charity shop on Queen Street in Ipswich

Do please come and visit us.

All our members receive newsletter updates on the cats, to which they are welcome to contribute articles/photos etc. Annual membership is only £10.00 per year. Details: membership@ipswich.cats.org.uk

The Cats: We do request a set fee of £60 for every cat or kitten. Cats Protection asks adopters for this fee when rehoming a cat. If you feel able to make a donation on top of this fee that would, of course, be gratefully received. We know times are hard, and thank you for your decision to rehome a CP cat. For this fee, you will get a pet that is: microchipped, vaccinated, spayed or neutered if needed and treated for fleas / worms.

Our cats are always checked over by a vet before homing, and come with one months free pet insurance. See the homing page for further details of all we do for our cats, and the attendant costs. ** Please note we will home to rented accomodation only on receipt of your landlords written permission **
