Experience of including people with special educational needs and disabilities

Our SENCO Cindy Steward has many years experience working with children with a range of individual needs, supporting the nursery staff to ensure that their needs are met, their families supported and that they receive the best possible care and development opportunities. Cindy is supported by Rachel Farn our Deputy SENCO who is currently doing her SENCO training.

We pride ourselves in taking time to get to know the child and their families and carers, working with them and outside professionals and agencies to provide consistency and support to the family.

Cindy works with the child's family and Key Person to put effective, achievable IEPs in place to support the child's learning and where possible will attend meetings alongside parents if requested.

All of our staff are involved in ensuring that we offer a fun, safe and stimulating environment for all children of all abilities and support for their parents/carers.
