The Peartree Kindergarten
Day nursery
The Peartree Kindergarten is a family run nursery inspired by children’s curiosity and love of the natural world. We are dedicated to promoting a rich learning environment with experiences full of awe and wonder. With a child centred approach; children learn, progress, and develop independence through play, exploration and interaction with devoted staff and community.
We offer childcare in Ipswich for children aged 0-11 years. including the government funded 15 & 30 hour sessions. The nursery was rated as 'Good' by Ofsted in October 2021.
At The Peartree Kindergarten, you will find an inclusive, progressive nursery offering the highest quality of care and education. From the moment we open our doors, we hold true to the following fundamental aims:
• To value, support and respect each child for the individual they are.
• To look after and educate our children in a way which helps them to feel secure, cared for and listened to.
• To provide an environment which is both safe and stimulating, where children can play, explore and learn at their own pace.

Support for people with disabilities
- Experience of including people with special educational needs and disabilities
Our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator (SENDCO) Rachel Farn has many years experience working with children with a range of individual needs. Rachel has a level three qualification in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Rachel supports the nursery staff to ensure that the children's needs are met, their families are supported and that they receive the best possible care and developmental opportunities.
We pride ourselves in taking time to get to know the children and their families and carers, working with them and outside professionals to provide consistency and support to the family.
Rachel works with the child's family and Key Person to put effective, achievable SEN Support Plans in place to support the child's learning as well as working with other professionals to request Educational Health Care Needs Assessments (EHC) when required. Where possible Rachel will attend meetings alongside parents if requested.
All of our staff are involved in ensuring that we offer a fun, safe and stimulating environment for children of all abilities and provide support for parents/carers.
