ChatHealth Texting service for parents/carers of children aged 0-5
ChatHealth is an easy way for parents and carers to confidentially ask our Health Visiting team for help about a range of issues by sending a text message.
This service is provided by Suffolk County Council's Health Visiting Service covering all of Suffolk and aims to provide timely and convenient access to confidential health advice for parents and carers, including issues about:
- Infant feeding - breastfeeding
- Introducing solids
- Fussy eaters
- Minor illnesses
- Child development
- Child health
- Parenting support
- Emotional wellbeing - parents / carers

The service is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 4:30pm, excluding bank holidays.
Out of hours
Anyone who texts the service out-of-hours receives an automatic reply message that explains where to get help, and when they can expect a response. Texts are normally replied to within one working day.
