General Details

The Saplings are an expanding, family friendly, flexible local Nursery. We are a registered charity and non-profit making setting. We offer a full  childcare service  to the local community and surrounding areas providing safe care for children aged between  0 to 11 years old.  We have spaces for up to 30 children, per session and offer 2, 3 and 4 years old funding places.

We run two well equipped rooms consisting of a Baby/Toddler Room, for children aged between 0-2, which is open throughout the year. A Pre-School Room, for children aged 2-4, which runs on a termly basis and an After School Club that cares for children between the ages of 2-11, during school holidays.

Our Baby/Toddler Room has spaces for up to 9 children, with a sleep area separated from the general play space.  There is also a separate outside area for this age group to enable the babies/toddlers to explore the outside.

We have a large secure outside space which is used all year round, during all weather conditions, and the children have free flow access to this throughout the day.  We have a mud kitchen in our garden area and playhouse and large sandpit, as well as providing activities that mirror our indoor facilities, including mathematics, construction, literacy.

The majority of our staff are experienced are qualified to Level 3 Qualification in Early Years and the remaining are qualified to a Level 2, working towards their Level 3.  The staff are also continually updating their current knowledge,  to maintain a high standard of care that provides an exciting and stimulating learning environment.

We provide healthy snacks morning, afternoon and after school for the children that attend.

We work closely with teachers at our local schools to ensure a smooth transition when the time comes for the children to go to school.  We offer a rising 5's session in the second half term of the summer term where our aim is to ensure the children are as ready as possible for the next step in their education.

We provide additional after school club care for children aged between 2-11 years, which can continue on from their day for the preschool children.

If you would like to see our facilities first hand please contact us to arrange a mutually convenient appointment and we will be happy to show you around and discuss further.
