Avenues East LEISURE (part of Community Support Services)
Our LEISURE service (part of Community Support Services) encourages and enables people with disabilities to take part in activities which help to improve their health, wellbeing, social skills and independence.
We do this by organising a range of activities, social clubs, short breaks and events throughout the year which provide a great deal of fun and enjoyment for everyone.
Our day groups -
Ipswich:
Monday and Fridays-
Here, our group enjoy accessing their local community, learning life skills such as money handling, travel training and cooking, sports/gym, games, crafts, cinema and much more!
Stowmarket:
Monday -
The group enjoy activities such as seated exercises, themed arts & crafts, boccia, samba drumming and more!
Tuesday and Thursday -
This group offers a wide range of opportunities such as; gardening, woodwork, working together as a team on projects, maintaining our area within the Museum grounds, seeing to the animals and building confidence and work skills.
Leisure activities-
During the year, we offer day trips and short breaks to the people that use our services. In previous years we have taken groups of people on theatre trips, visits to theme parks, supported holidays, mersea island festival and have taken part in The Royal Hospital School games.
