General Details

Offers friendship and informal support to parents with young children (0-11) so that every child can have a good start in life.

Home-Start in Suffolk aims to give children the best possible start in life. We support parents to grow in confidence, strengthen their relationships with their children, improve their Health and wellbeing and widen their links locally.

We offer welcoming and friendly family groups held at Nansen Road in Ipswich runs for 38 weeks of the year, in term-time only. The aim of the group is to provide a safe environment, lead and facilitated by staff and volunteers, where parents have space and time to discuss issues which are relevant to them – for example, isolation, the challenges of family life, relationship difficulties and domestic violence.
