At Ormitots we fundamentally believe that children grow and develop best when provided with a secure, nurturing and stimulating environment. We will provide a home from home experience that promotes indoor and outdoor play with quality, exciting and dynamic play activities tailored to individual children’s needs. Partnership with parents is a key priority for our team as we recognise that you are the primary expert on your child and their needs.
Care is provided by a team of well qualified and experienced staff who are passionate about providing inspiring, engaging and nurturing activities and support for each individual child. We know how critical a child’s early years are to their lifelong development and will work with you to ensure each individual child has the best experiences and opportunities to learn. We are registered with Ofsted to care for up to 69 children aged 0-5 years.
Ormitots nursery is divided into three rooms to enable the team to plan, and provide developmentally appropriate activities for each age group. The Little Ladybirds room can care for up to 16 babies aged up to 2 years, the Wiggly Worms care for up to 16 2-3 year olds and the Buzzy Bees room can care for up to 37, 3-5 year olds. All learning experiences are planned using the Early Years Foundation Stage framework to ensure all areas of children’s learning are catered for. Within all the activities we provide, we endeavour to use the most natural resources available to promote every sensory aspect of children’s learning. We use our large, attractive outdoor space for all weather outdoor play to encourage children’s knowledge of their natural environment and natural curiosity to explore.
