Suffolk Family Information Service

The Suffolk Family Information Service (FIS) offers free impartial advice about childcare and other services that support parents and carers of children and young people aged 0-19 years, and up to 25 years for children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).

We can help you find local Ofsted registered childcare providers (childminders, day nurseries, pre-school playgroups, out of school care, and holiday playschemes.

We also offer information and advice about a range of other services, such as baby and toddler groups, children's centres, children's activities, parenting programmes and support groups.

Our helpline is open Monday to Thursday from 9am to 5pm, Friday from 9am to 4.30pm. There is an answering service outside these hours where you can leave a message and we will phone you back. You can also text us on 07624 80 10 60, email us or visit our website.

The Suffolk Families Information Service also help support childcare providers, as well as parents. We offer a free service to childcare settings to help advertise their childcare vacancies.
