I am an Ofsted registered 'Outstanding' childminder with over 15 years experience of working with children from birth to 13 years in a variety of settings. I am a qualified teacher with excellent knowledge of the Early Years curriculum and provide a wide range of games and activities to support learning and development through play.
My working hours are currently 8.00am until 4.30pm although there is some flexibility if required and I am on the Suffolk list of providers to receive funding for 2, 3 and 4 year olds.
With a large enclosed garden and play room we are able to be outside throughout the year to enhance children’s physical development and allow them to explore and learn about the world around us.
We go on lots of outings to groups, such as children's centre activities, transport museum, the park, beach, woods and toddler groups.
Provisions include outdoor ride on cars, train set, cars and car mat, play kitchen and utensils, dolls, dressing up and pretend play, books, jigsaws, blocks, bricks, musical instruments, small world and sensory equipment, including a mud kitchen, maths games, sand pit and water tray, slide and swing. There is a large range of art and craft activities are available at all times, as well as special projects to celebrate different occasions
I work closely with parents and other settings to ensure children get the best possible continuity of care and help to support all children in their next steps of development.
I take part in monthly professional development training and also complete webinars to expand my knowledge in order to be the best that I can be for all children.
I have lots of experience of working with children with additional needs and I am a qualified Early Years SENCo, completed an Elklan speech and language course, an advanced diploma in special educational needs, makaton training and Attention Autism training. I am also working on a Muddy Puddle teacher accreditation and Dough Disco accreditation, and have completed a Hygge Wanderlust nature study.
