Forest School Alternative Provision

Tailored outdoor learning programmes to complement primary education
We are excited to be able to offer 'alternative provision' for primary aged children at The Willows. We currently work in partnership with Suffolk Primary Schools, to offer SEND group and one-to-one provision; nurturing individuals with specific learning needs through nature.
The sessions are child-centred, child-led and structured accordingly to meet the needs of the learners within each session.
At The Willows we provide a safe, nurturing environment for individuals to develop their confidence and self-esteem, whilst learning life skills through hands-on experiences. Our approach to exploration and risk management means that learners constantly expand on their abilities by solving real-life problems, building self-belief and becoming resilient independent individuals.
Forest School facilitates more than knowledge-gathering, it helps learners develop socially, emotionally, spiritually, physically and intellectually. It inspires a deep and meaningful connection to the world.
There is lots of research that supports the outcomes of Forest School, but we know that it isn’t just the educational outcomes and research that matter, it is the positive impact on each individual learner that counts.
The Willows Alternative Provision is unique in its reach, delivery and effect.
