RSPCA Suffolk Central Branch
Animal welfare, rehoming, pet rescue and adoption.
The RSPCA Suffolk Central Branch takes in, rehabilitates, rehomes and provides veterinary treatment for hundreds of animals each year in Suffolk.
We are a separately registered and mainly self-funding branch of the RSPCA, helping local animals in need.
Our Animal Centre at Martlesham, Veterinary Clinic in Ipswich and various veterinary voucher schemes cost us in excess of £751,414 to run in 2021. So, we rely heavily on the generosity and support of the local community as well as our own fundraising.
At any one time, our Animal Centre can be looking after up to 28 dogs, 56 cats, 20 rabbits and 40 ferrets (excluding young), in addition to many small animals, birds and wildlife. Our aim is to find suitable, caring and permanent homes for the animals brought into our care.
We also help local pet owners on low incomes by providing reduced cost veterinary assistance and subsidised neutering and microchipping.
If you are thinking of getting a pet, please consider our animals.

Our Charity Shops
Our charity shops in Ipswich, Felixstowe and Stowmarket provide a vital source of funds for our local animal welfare work. They are always looking for donations of clothing, shoes, books, handbags, CDs, DVDs, jewellery, bric-a-brac, small pieces of furniture and working electrical items. You can drop off items at our shops or our Animal Centre and we can collect. Just one bag of good quality items could raise £25 or more.
Would YOU like to volunteer?
Without our wonderful volunteers we simply would not be able to run our Branch as we do. We have a variety of roles, and particularly need help with our fundraising events, supermarket collections and in our charity shops. We would love to hear from you.
