Our School has a part-time, experienced SENDCO. All of our Teaching Assistants are up to date with training in interventions, specialising in nurture, spelling support and reading strategies. We meet with other agencies such as speech and language, health workers, learning support, outreach services and others when necessary.
Interventions are timetabled and tailored to individual pupils where required and include Dancing Bears, Power of Two Maths, additional phonics.
We endeavour to meet the needs of all our children and will add to or adapt interventions to suit the children we provide for. We assess interventions every term to ensure progress is being made and make changes where necessary.
Meetings are held with teachers, children, Teaching Assistants and parents to establish targets and objectives for each term.
