We continue to offer our work placement programmes but within a limited capacity at this time.
We are part of Community Interest Company employing disabled people and providing work placements and experience to others who are disabled or who are disadvantaged in the work arena. Our commercial activity is the manufacture of small Pet Bedding products such as shredded paper and cotton wool for hamsters, gerbils, rats, mice and rabbits as well as others small animals. Utilising waste materials such as tea bag paper, j-cloth and newsprint paper, we offer various packaging specifications and supply many of the main wholesalers and retailers across the UK as well as exporting to Spain. We also produce 10kg compacted bales for the boarding kennels and breeders of dogs, cats and sometimes horses and pigs.
Our work placements and volunteering opportunities can be accessed by contacting us directly or via Independence Matters CIC, JobCentre Plus, Norfolk County Council, MINT at Norwich City College, Mencap as well as many other routes. Placements can be tailored to individuals as far as possible and offer a supportive work environment which adopts a 'can do' attitude.
Essentially the work is packing type work and production line work such as filling and sealing bags, all depending upon the individuals capabilities. We also provide contract packing activities such as packing children's educational toys and electrical components.
