Urban Allstars Majorettes
We teach youngsters form the age of 5 to dance, twirl and march individually and as a group to a standard where they can perform and compete in competitions, fetes and carnivals.
We formed the Urban Allstars back in May 2006 with the assistance of treasurer Heather Osborn and Sam Bramble, who played a major role in raising funds to get us up and running. We are a registered charity and are S.A.F.E certified.
Although the troupe started out with mainly older members, it now ranges from 4 years to late teens.
The girls are trained by myself, Sarah Fisk, Charlotte Alexander and Kirsty Farthing.
Members practice twice a week in Ipswich. Times of practice sessions vary.
The troupe is a proud member of the UKFM (United Kingdom Federation of Majorettes) and OMC (Open Majorette Circuit) The girls perform at fetes, in carnivals and compete at various OMC competitions throughout the Summer months. They also compete in groups and individually at UKFM competitions from September to April, completing the season with the National Finals at Easter.
