National Holiday Fund For Sick And Disabled Children

Provides support for the parents or carers of severely sick or disabled children by offering them a two week respite whilst their children are cared for by us.

The children are taken on a once-in-a-lifetime holiday to Central Florida where they can enjoy the some of the many attractions and theme parks in the Orlando area.

In addition they will visit locations and events that have been specially organized by the Charity's USA sister organization NHF-USA including:- a day at a Gulf Coast beach; boating and a picnic at a nearby lake; a day organised by local police authorities.

Each group comprises six boys and six girls, aged between eight and eighteen, whose medical conditions qualify for a holiday. The children are accompanied by a dedicated carer whose skills match the needs of the child. In addition a doctor and senior nurse are with the group throughout. An experienced ‘Leader’ escorts the group for the two weeks.
