Our Scout Group has been providing the benefits of Scouting to the children of Wetherden and Haughley for 100 years. Today we have more than 60 children and young adults – boys and girls – enrolled across our four sections (Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers).
We are a very active Group that believes in teaching many of the traditional skills of Scouting, camping in canvas tents, cooking on open fires, learning how to develop leadership skills and take responsibility. These might be seen by some as old-fashioned, but we believe is is actually the reason that our Group is so popular – not just with children and young people, but also their parents.
