Notes

The Society was founded in 1977 with the purpose of encouraging awareness and interest in heraldry in its many aspects but mainly focussed on Suffolk.  Heraldry is very much alive in the 21st century with grants of arms being issued by the College of Arms in London to individuals, businesses, professional and academic bodies, services and clubs.   Training sessions for new members are held from time to time and visitors are welcome to the meetings.
