Welcome to First Steps to Success Ipswich Suffolk at Papworth Trust
We have adapted our service to offer employability and wellbeing support, remotely! This will include one to one sessions via:
- Telephone and email support
- One to one Zoom sessions - sign up for Zoom free HERE

What does First Steps to Success Ipswich offer?
By offering bespoke one to one sessions, we will:
- Offer pre-employment support
- Support you to build confidence at your own pace
- Help you to overcome personal and employment barriers
- Actively listen, always
- Work with you to create your CV and cover letters
- Guide you to apply for volunteering, employment or training, based on your interests and skills
- Offer interview skills, role-play and support you to prepare for any ‘what if’s’
- Offer Covid-19 support and advice
- Support you to find employment whilst you continue to work/volunteer
- Job start support - If you have recently started a new job, either with our support or on your own, the first few months can be a little stressful without some support.
- Offer guidance on how to discuss your disability with your employer, including any Access to Work requirements
Our aim is to be transparent, flexible and understanding of your requirements. It takes time to feel ready for change and we will support you every step of the way.

Eligibility:
If you do not meet some of the below criteria, please do not be discouraged. Contact Angela to see if we can help:
- Disability: Mild Learning Difficulty / Disability and/or Autism - Official Diagnosis is not required, we accept dual disability (i.e. Mental Health condition and Learning Difficulty or Autism etc.)
- Age: From 17 years old and over [No maximum age limit]
- Location: Ipswich and surrounding areas. We have now added some areas of Suffolk so please get in touch if you are not close to Ipswich
- Other: Customer has access to a telephone and/or internet. Customer can travel independently or has support for this, if appropriate.
Please note: All referrals are subject to our eligibility criteria and initial assessment decision
