SANDS Utd

SANDS Utd was set up a couple of years ago to offer support to men who have been impacted by and affected by baby loss. There is a network of football teams across the country and Suffolk is hosting the latest team in Ipswich. So far, the group has eight participants but they are hoping to build a larger network of support for local men using football as a means of bringing people together.

There isn’t any pressure to ‘open up’ and rather the group plays football and knows there’s someone there who has gone through a similar thing. It’s free to attend and open to all standards. The sessions are informal with no ‘coaching’, but are fun and help improve fitness and wellbeing at the same time.
