The James Paget Acute Oncology Service provides a 24 hour nurse-led telephone advice service for oncology and haematology patients who may be experiencing complications from treatment or from the cancer itself. Oncology patients may be admitted via a dedicated rapid admission pathway to a general medical ward, if there is a suspicion of neutropenic sepsis.
Haematology patients calling the Haematology AOS line, have direct access to the haematology ward, when required, or to medical advice by a local haematologist on call.
Interpretation and Translation services are available through this service.
