The Lowestoft Players
Award winning amateur theatre group in Lowestoft. We have a wide range of performing and non-performing members.
The Lowestoft Players are proud to have established their own Theatre and Rehearsal venue in the heart of the Town Centre, just around the corner from ‘The Marina Theatre', making for an exciting programme of musicals, drama and pantomime.
The Lowestoft Players were first formed in 1967 on a tiny bank balance of seven shillings and sixpence (37.5p). Of course, that money was worth a little more back then! Their first musical was ‘The Boyfriend’ and their first pantomime, that all-time favourite ‘Cinderella’, presented at the old Sparrows Nest Theatre set in parkland at the top of the town.

- Notes
Multi-purpose performance and rehearsal space available for hire for all kinds of shows, performances, functions and gatherings. Our space is entirely adaptable and used by several other community organisations. We have tea/coffee facilities as well as a licensed bar and ample toilet facilities.
We primarily use our venue for our rehearsals and group meetings, however regularly throughout the year the building is easily transformed into the 200 seater 'Players Theatre' which is extremely popular throughout the community, complementing other local theatres.
