The annual arts courses usually take place in Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich and Lowestoft. However, following UK Government advice, we have suspended all face-to-face delivery of Brave Art until further notice.
Our projects are now being delivered to our students directly in their homes through online creative challenges, regular one-to-one phone calls and online group meet-ups. For more information, please contact Charlie and Fran on the details below. You can view the online creative challenges here.
“I’ve loved being on this course … everyone has been helping each other.”
'Brave Art' is an arts course for people with learning disabilities.
Update: We are currently exploring new ways of delivering our projects remotely. Further information will be provided as soon as it’s available.
An arts training course for people with learning disabilities. Brave Art offers students the chance to enjoy exploring a variety of art forms whilst developing creative and life skills.
Students work alongside professional artists during three 12-week terms each year. Through artist-led sessions, trips to cultural venues and public celebrations of their work, students learn new skills and gain confidence, friendships and wellbeing.
Courses are run in Bury St Edmunds, Lowestoft and Ipswich and focus on a wide variety of art forms including illustration, dance, film-making, photography, music and visual arts.
At the end of each course, students are offered advice and guidance on how to progress on to volunteering, work experience and further training.
