Cookley and Walpole good neighbour scheme

We all know that Walpole and Cookley are full of real good neighbours ready to help out, but if for any reason you feel you need

  • a lift
  • a hand with a DIY task
  • help with shopping or getting a prescription
  • someone to walk your dog or feed your cat
  • in fact help with anything that a neighbour might do,

then pick up the phone and give us a ring.

They and other volunteers all help to run the monthly Cookpole Café from 12 - 2.00 in the pavilion on the last Thursday of every month.

In addition the Good Neighbours deliver a card and a basket of fruit and goodies to local residents on their return from a stay in hospital, and a card to new parents on the arrival of their baby. Both these gestures depend on the 'bush telegraph' so if you know of anyone who has been in hospital or had a baby, please get in touch with us.

If you would like to help at the Café or to join the list of Good Neighbour volunteers either as an occasional phone holder or someone who could help out with a task, then please contact the Good Neighbours'.
