Lowestoft Foodbank

We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

Food is donated, sorted and stored and then distributed to those in need. Professionals can refer clients to the foodbank or people can go along to one of our referral agencies (CAB, Lowestoft Library, Children's Centres, Access Community Trust) where they will take some basic details and complete a food voucher. This food voucher can be taken to one of our Foodbank centres across the town to be exchanged for a food parcel.  Each different day is covered by a different centre in order to cover as much of Lowestoft as possible in one week.
