Community Eating Disorders Service (CEDS) Great Yarmouth and Waveney

We at Great Yarmouth and Waveney Community Eating Disorder Service (CEDS) provide assessment and treatment for people presenting with an eating disorder, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder.
Our clinicians work with individuals and their families to maximise independence, choice, social inclusion and recovery using evidence based treatment plans.
Treatment is delivered by a multidisciplinary team and includes advice from psychological therapists (eg, CBT therapist, Clinical Psychologist and a family therapist), specialist nurses/practitioners, psychiatrist, dietitian, occupational therapist and assistant practitioner.
We are an all age service and as such there is no transition from children to adult services. We believe that such transitions can be unhelpful in someone’s recovery from an eating disorder and so have removed this hurdle by having an all age service responsive to the individual’s needs rather than their age.
