The Benjamin Foundation in partnership with Suffolk County Council are delivering supervised and supported accommodation in Suffolk.
The Supervised service is semi-independent supported accommodation for up to two young people (predominantly 16 to 18 year olds) assessed as having high and specialist needs. The overall aim is to provide safe and suitable accommodation and support for young people leaving care in Suffolk and to prepare them for independence.
Each resident has their own bedroom and can share communal lounge and kitchen with other residents. Staff will support residents with school, college, or to find work, training opportunities and to cope with issues in their personal life. Staff will help to build confidence and work on living skills to prepare the young person for independence.
The supported accommodation service is for up to four young people with more independent skills who need less day to day support. However, support is given each day and will be at a level agreed with the young person and their team.
