The Phoenix Project Ipswich
We are a small Ipswich based charity that aims to support adults with experience of mental health issues. Our main objectives are to tackle social isolation and support maintenance and recovery of well being through therapeutic and educational activities.
Our core project is Phoenix Club: A welcoming and supportive place to meet friends and enjoy a low cost tasty lunch. We have a range of activities available: board games, art & crafts, walking groups and creative and educational workshops planned throughout the year. Staff and volunteers are available for support and advice. We meet Fridays 10 am - 2 pm at the Quaker Meeting House, 39 Fonnereau Road, Ipswich. Access is self referral and disabled facilities and access available.
Phoenix Friends is our volunteer led social group. They meet alternate Tuesdays 11 am - 1 pm at Quaker Meeting House, they offer company and a cuppa / snack at low cost, open door policy.
True Thoughts Project: In partnership with Ipswich Community Media & Learning. This project is about combating isolation and promoting wellbeing through creative expression and mindfulness practice, tackling stigma and giving a voice to people with experience of mental health issues.
