Setting is open to offer childcare places to children of key workers and for vulnerable children.
Stowupland Pre-School provides high quality care and education for children aged two to school starting age. The Pre-school is an established purpose built provision, serving the community of Stowupland and surrounding areas for over 30 years. We are a registered charity (Charity Number: 1128585) and as such we must be run by a voluntary Management Committee comprising of a Committee Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.
We are registered for 26 children at any one time, and offer a variety of sessions throughout the week to meet the needs of our families and community. We regularly consult with parents regarding their childcare requirements, and adapt our service offer whenever possible.
At Stowupland Pre-School we are committed to promoting high quality learning through a genuine partnership with the child at the centre. We recognise that emotional and social development are vital to children’s future successes, and believe in valuing and respecting each individual in a welcoming, accessible and inclusive environment.
We provide an exciting and stimulating environment where children and their families feel safe, secure and comfortable and with people around them, free from pressure, where they are given time and space to be themselves. We believe that by feeling valued and respected we all develop the self-esteem to accept others and ourselves.
We provide opportunities for children to develop new skills and understanding, the chance to explore and experiment within our inspiring indoor space, as well as our large natural outdoor environment. We build on what the child already knows, and aim to provide creative and challenging learning opportunities for discovery, exploration, problem solving and self-expression, which help the children and the team, develop a passion for learning. We ensure that children have plentiful opportunities to access the surrounding countryside and community spaces through planning regular visits and experiences.
We ensure each child feels special and included and has the right to be listened to and their opinion respected. We help each other to care for the environment and to know that each of us has a role and can make a difference in our community and in the wider world. We support each individual to gain the confidence to make the most of their abilities and to be aware of opportunities available to them.
The Pre-School team is highly experienced and qualified, and is led by a Manager who holds a relevent childcare qualification in children’s care learning and development, and Deputy Manager who holds Level 3 in Children’s Care Learning and development . All members of our team hold relevant qualifications in childcare to Level 3 or above.
We strive to provide exciting and motivational learning experiences for children, enabling them to achieve to their fullest potential.
