The Motability scheme simply allows you to exchange the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA), the new Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of the Personal Independence Payment (PIP), the War Pensioner’s Mobility Supplement, or the new Armed Forces Independence Payment for a brand new car.

The Motability scheme offers a comprehensive motoring package, including all of the following:

There are a great range of models available with Nil Advance payment, meaning that once you have surrendered your allowance, there is nothing more to pay and all the above is included.  However, depending on your choice of vehicle, there may be a one off fee to be paid when you collect the vehicle.
