Experience of including people with special educational needs and disabilities

Within our school environment, Eyke CEVC Primary has a policy of inclusion.  The Learning Support staff have training related to specific interventions, and three have the Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification.  The specific training includes  Fischer Family Trust, Elkan programme for speech and language, therapeutic storytelling, Numicon (maths) and Talking Maths.

The current  SENCO has been in post for ten years, and during that time has had training on specific disabilities, i.e. Autism, Attachment disorder.  The SENCO has had training related to the SEND Reform 2014 and Ofsted 2015 with relation to SEND.
