Ecotherapy - Get Up and Grow with Suffolk Mind - Newmarket

Ecotherapy improves people's physical and mental health by gently inceasing their activity levels, people also make new friends and can receive peer support from others. Being on an allotment gives people the chance to learn about gardening and take notice of the changing seasons - while contributing to a thriving growing space that benefits everyone.

Our ecotherapy services are suitable for anyone over 18 years of age.

Suffolk Mind have five allotments plots all of which offer a supportive, enjoyable and relaxed environment.

Newmarket plot is a well-established site in its third growing year. It offers people the opportunity to learn about gardening and contribute to the creation of a thriving growing space that benefits everyone. We meet on Tuesday afternoon from 12.30pm.

Experience of including people with special educational needs and disabilities

Our service is for people who have a mental health need. That would include people with SEND.

Please contact us as we would need to know what your support needs are, and whether you would be coming with a support worker, to see what we would need to do to ensure our service is accessible.
