Suffolk Employment Service (Shaw Trust)

Suffolk Employment Service helps people from Suffolk to find sustainable work and gain independence.

We provide support to people with learning disabilities, autism or mental health problems; guiding them into sustainable employment and independence.

This service will respond to the variety and range of people’s abilities and needs; offering the appropriate support required to place them into the right employment.

Shaw Trust has delivered employment support to people with mental health issues across Suffolk since 1991. Delivering the employment support programme, we work with GP surgeries, Link workers, community mental health and learning disability cluster teams; as well as community inclusion facilitators, the autistic diagnostic spectrum service and many more to gain referrals to our provision and to ensure that this service is accessible for people aged 18 or over living within Suffolk who have mental health problems, learning disabilities and/or autism.

Our aim is to support our service users into some form of paid work within 12 month of them joining the service.
