East Coast College Nursery

Day nursery

The Nursery at East Coast College Lowestoft has been in operation since 1988 and is situated in the College grounds in a separate purpose built unit with its own secure garden. We are open Monday to Friday 08.00am - 05.30pm all year round excluding bank holidays and one week at Christmas.

We have 3 separate playrooms in the Nursery for children aged 0-2 years (Ducklings), 2-3 years (Penguins) and 3-5years (Swans). We have a dedicated team of qualified staff who provide a stimulating learning environment with opportunities for the children to develop their skills and learn through play. All staff promote positive behaviour and equal opportunities to encourage each child to reach their own full potential.

The Nursery was inspected by OFSTED in February 2017 and received an overall 'Good' grade, the report stated:

"Children of all ages demonstrate that they are happy and feel safe and secure at the nursery"

"Staff demonstrated a good understanding of how children learn and develop.

They provide stimulating environments, both indoors and outside,

giving children plenty of choice in their play"

"All children make good progress"
