- Notes
Each resident will be assigned a key worker when they move in who they will be expected to meet with regularly. During their key work meetings residents will create a support plan, this is a plan of achievable goals they want or need to meet whilst they are living in supported housing. Residents must work with staff to achieve these goals as well as working on our own ‘independent living skills’ programme. This programme covers things like bills and budgeting, healthy relationships, citizenship, household management skills and healthy living and can be completed one to one with staff or in group sessions.
At Felixstowe YPS we often have group cooking sessions, where we encourage residents to choose something they want to learn how to cook and then come along and join in. We also have regular house meetings where residents get to have their say on ideas for outings, fundraising, or general things that are going on at the project.
