Ipswich Community Playbus
The Ipswich Community Playbus is a not-for-profit charity run by a board of voluntary trustees for families with children under 5 years old in Ipswich, Suffolk.
The Playbus was relaunched in October 2003 and currently runs six free play sessions.
We have two full-time members of staff, who are fully qualified in various early years qualifications, are CRB checked, first aid trained and have had SAFEchild protected training.
Our Playbus is fully equipped to be a stimulating learning environment for young children. Each term, the activities are themed looking at colours, numbers, seasons, celebrations and many more. Visitors are welcome to view the Playbus policies at any time.

At Community Playbus, our aims and objectives are to advance education of children below compulsory school age. Our staff are first aid trained and have enhanced DBS checks. Our facilities include a converted double decker bus, with sessions planned that are age appropriate. Children are free to move around with their parents/carers at their own pace. Our daily activities include: arts and crafts, playdough, sand, puzzles and a dolls house. Upstairs we have slides and small world play sets. The playbus offers parents and children the chance to borrow story and information books to encourage pre-reading skills and early knowledge to continue in the home.
