Therapeutic Parenting Program
This programme is aimed at parents who are new to Therapeutic Parenting and looking into a detailed insight into the subject.
Parents will learn the core principles of Therapeutic Parenting, in order to begin to develop a trusting relationship with their children. Parents will gain an underpinning knowledge of Therapeutic Parenting and will be able to implement strategies learnt from the programme, in order to support their child into adulthood.
The programme includes the following topics:
- Understanding the child
- Understanding myself
- Understanding Therapeutic Parenting
- Advanced Therapeutic Parenting Strategies
- Working with other (to support the child)
The course is mainly online – learners are also required to attend a Therapeutic Parenting support group regularly throughout the programme. In addition to this, learner’s have support from a programme facilitator and peer support for their studies, through online forum.
Can be studied over 1-year full time, 4 hours of study per week
