Children’s Centres are places where families with young children under 5 can go to access a range of activities and support services, in a location that is handy for them.

To access any Children’s Centre service, simply register online at: www.suffolk.gov.uk/childrenscentres and drop-in to your local centre.

To plan your journey to our Centre on public transport you can also go to transportdirect.info. By selecting ‘Plan a Journey’ you can input your home postcode, our Centre postcode (NR33 8LJ) and the time and date you wish to travel. Open Monday to Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm, Friday 9:00am to 4:30pm. (Closed 12:30pm to 1:00pm for lunch).

For up to date information about what is happening at Uplands Children’s Centre please search Facebook for ‘South Lowestoft Childrens Centre’.  We provide a range of activities for pre-school children and families supporting both early learning and adult education.  Our service is an integrated health and children's centre service where we can offer family support, advice on health and well being, play and learning. Our friendly staff team organises regular groups, workshops and 1-1 sessions which are free. We strongly encourage parents to give us their views on how we can improve services through feedback at the end of our sessions.
