Barnardiston Hall is a co-educational day and boarding School for 2-13 year olds, set in 16 acres of grounds some 4 miles from Haverhill. With class sizes averaging at only 13, all children are given individual attention and the results prove the merits of this with most children moving into their first choice senior schools at 13. In a recent Early Years’ Inspection the School received the top possible grading in all six areas of learning. All children are encouraged to achieve their maximum potential, be it in academic subjects, sport, music or art. Particular attention is paid to learning the ‘basics’ with regular checks on literacy and in numeracy. The School has excellent sports facilities and has had many County players over the years in a variety of sports. The Choir participates in many local and national events and sing annually at the Royal Festival Hall. Most importantly of all, children at Barnardiston Hall are happy. There is a wide range of clubs and societies for them to join after School. Pupils have the opportunity to stay at School for their first ‘camp-over’ at the age of 3, walk the Derbyshire Dales at 7, climb Ben Nevis from 8 and visit France at 9. French is taught from 3 and Latin from 8. If you are considering a private education for your child, then you could find that Barnardiston Hall is just what you are looking for. A visit costs nothing!
