The Alde Valley Group and the Alde valley Working Party Group are part of the Ramblers' Association which exists to promote rambling as a leisure pursuit and also to protect access to footpaths and other rights of way. The Association has long promoted the health benefits of outdoor recreational pursuits.

Our working party group does practical work maintaining the public footpaths network.  The main group organizes regular led walks and details of these walks can be found by a link on our website. Regular walks are intended for members but membership is open to all individuals and anyone is welcome to sample a few of our walks before joining.
