Causton Junior School is a Community Junior School with a current roll of 218 children, admitting children from the age of 7 – 11 years. Most children attending Maidstone Infant School transfer to Causton at the age of 7.
We also have a Specialist Support Class (SSC) which is a Local Authority Special Needs provision. The SSC is a 20 place class and to be able to access this provision the child will need an EHCP and the school that they attend will need to apply for a place from the Local Authority.
We also host a Local Authority specialist provision for Autistic Spectrum Disorder pupils who will have an EHCP and a diagnoses of ASD. To be able to attend the specialist provision a referral will need to be made to the Local Authority.
The published admission number for 2019 / 2020 is 75 pupils.
At 11 years of age most of our children transfer to Felixstowe Academy. A small minority of children may transfer to other local High Schools, Academies or an Independent High School.
