Wendy Clay

Childminder

I am a caring and professional childminder offering childcare alongside my own children. I am dedicated to provide you with reliable, friendly and flexible care for your child/ren on a full and part-time basis. Working with parents to make sure your child gets the care you are looking for. Our home is a safe, friendly and happy environment where your child will feel welcome, with a wide range of fun and educational toys, books and activities. We have a separate playroom and quiet room (for naps etc). The garden is fully enclosed and also offers a range of outdoor equipment suitable for children of all ages. We have pets which are an excellent way of promoting a sense of responsibility within children. We enjoy outings to the near-by woods, park and library and attend childminding drop groups and local toddler groups where the children have the chance to develop further social skills.

Your child’s care will be planned to meet their individual needs and likes based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).  I also offer funded places for 2, 3 and 4 year olds.  You can access your 15 hours free entitlement and/or the extended entitlement hours through my setting.  You can access these hours at anytime during my normal opening hours of 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday.

I work with families to ensure that all children regardless of background, health or disabilities are cared for to the best of my ability.  This includes ensuring that they are able to participate in as many activities as they are able and willing to.  If your child has additional needs we can discuss if I am able to care for them or if I may need to undertake further training.

I have completed the CACHE Introduction to Childcare Practice (home based) qualification and my NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma.  I also hold  certificates in Safeguarding, Early Years First Aid and Food Hygiene among many others. I am a member of the PACEY.
