Lowestoft Community Hub

Day service managed for adults with learning disabilities.
Provides a wide range of social, educational & learning, leisure & recreational opportunities. Supports people to access local mainstream amenities and services. To support social inclusion and participation.
We also have facilities that can be hired by community groups etc for evenings and weekends - including a large hall with stage and kitchen facilities, a Snoezelen, and various meeting rooms. The building is fully accessible for wheelchair users and has accessible toilets and changing facilities.

The service offers a choice of day opportunities and meaningful activities, offering new experiences to develop people's independence skills. Community based projects include; dancing & singing at the Venue of performing arts, drama workshops and theatre production at the Seagull Theatre, football at the grounds of Kirkley and Pakefield football team, conservation at various locations in the surrounding area, aerobics, gym & swimming at Lowestoft Sports Centre, and chair based excercises with a qualified instructor at the Lowestoft Centre. There are costs for external activities; Venue, Seagull Theatre, Sports Centre etc. Please contact the Lowestoft Community Resource Unit for further details.
