
Mendham Primary School is situated in the rural countryside on the Norfolk/Suffolk boarder and is Federated with St Edmund's Primary School in Hoxne which is a similar type and sized school. We are also part of The Consortium Multi-Academy Trust since 2016 and have undertaken our first Ofsted since becoming part of an MAT in 2019 with both schools achieving a Ofsted rating of Good.
Children aged 5-11 years.
Also has a nursery school/class for 3-5 year olds. We offer both 15 and 30 hour funding alongside paid for sessions at £12.50 for a morning or afternoon session plus £5 for a cook lunch and childcare for the lunch period if tagging onto a paid session.
We have on average 80 children at our schools and aim to have a maximum of 20 children per class and have four classes which hold 2 year groups each.
We offer tax free childcare and other work related voucher schemes such as Care4, Computershare, EdenRed etc.
We offer breakfast club on a daily basis from 7.45 am and extended schools club until 6 pm (Mon-Thurs) and 5 pm film club on a Friday. Advance booking is essential via the Schoolcomms payment system. Each club consists of a themed session for one hour which can lead onto a more relaxed full session.
The school day was extended to build back education due to covid for academic year 2020/21 and this continuing for the foreseeable future - start time 8.30 (gate open 8.20) end time 3.30.
