Ipswich Recycle (Freegle)

Ipswich Recycle is a long-standing and active Recycling group run by locals, for locals. Members who have items they no longer need, offer them freely to other Ipswich Recycle members.
We have over 13,000 members across East Anglia, giving away hundreds of items each week, keeping them out of landfill.
Like all items, membership is also free. Probably the largest recycling/reuse organisation in Suffolk.

Freegle, a national grassroots organisation of well over a million people throughout the United Kingdom who are giving and receiving free unwanted items in their immediate communities. Local charities, non-profit groups and communities are encouraged to join. Our aim is to keep anything reusable out of our landfill sites.

Everything offered is given for free … no sales are allowed. We simply are looking to keep items out of landfill. Items offered in the past include cars, caravans, motorcycles, boats, skiing kit, and we often see posts for baby items, bikes, clothes, DIY materials and tools, plants, and kitchen equipment. Running for over 5 years, we have over 13,000 members around Ipswich and the surrounding areas (even up to Norfolk and Essex). Hundreds of items looking for a new home are offered each month. We are (probably) the most successful recycling organisation operating in East Anglia, keeping things out of landfill.
